The new MeetHealthy iOS app is the first proactive vision to managing event-based viral health risk. When used wisely, MeetHealthy may help meeting hosts and eventgoers gain the knowledge necessary to meet more freely in this era of unseen viral scourges. MeetHealthy is voluntary and anonymous, and therefore requires integrity and responsible leadership in its use.
The premise and design of MeetHealthy is 1-2-3 simple:
MeetHealthy requests distinct action on meeting attendees’ part and in some cases the action is quite burdensome (e.g., vaccinations and/or testing to attend an event). In all cases the knowledge provided and actions requested are voluntary and anonymous, subject to the responsible use of MeetHealthy users. MeetHealthy guidance can be ignored and this should always factor into the decision to proceed with holding MeetHealthy events. Fortunately, Events Attending Stats pages give solid information that can assess the frequency and accuracy of attendees’ input.
What types of social gatherings and events will benefit by using MeetHealthy? Meetings are limited only by one’s imagination as MeetHealthy covers 20 event categories and over 120 variations on events from which to choose. Worried further about privacy? Simply note that an event you plan to host is Private and can only be accessed by a private EventID that you control.
To be more specific, MeetHealthy will likely initially benefit smaller social gatherings of health-conscious users. Examples might include: club activities, workgroup meetings, in-home social parties, athletic practice sessions, socially-distanced concerts, lunchtime or nighttime dining hours, study groups, worship groups, personal care appointments, fitness sessions and so many more.
Without testing or vaccinations, healthy users can expect their MeetHealthy VHS to land in the 45 to 60+ range out of 100. Once eventgoers get vaccinated and test for upcoming events, they can expect VHS to migrate to the 70 to 90+ range.
With this perspective, it becomes straight forward to look at an event’s average viral health score to assess the current practices of its attendees.
Of note: users’ viral scores decline on an accelerating basis when surveys are not kept updated. Event hosts can use this trend line to track data validity provided by an anonymous group.
You are 100% responsible and liable for your viral health.
Use this tool wisely!
